Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year at Huron High School.
Preparing for this school year has been quite exciting. Several new faculty members have joined the team at HHS, including Mr. Radke, the new assistant principal. Additionally, a few people have taken on new roles and responsibilities, including me as HS principal, in order to make Huron High School the best educational opportunity for all students.
For those returning to HHS this year, you will notice some changes in policies and procedures. I urge you start the year off on a positive note and be an example of what is expected academically and behaviorally for all students.
All students are encouraged to challenge themselves in all classes this year and focus on raising the academic standards at HHS. Remember that our students come together each day from a variety of backgrounds and we can all learn from the experiences of others.
Please remember the four promises that are your "Bill of Rights" when you face a difficult situation:
1. You will be treated with decency and respect.
2. You will have the opportunity to tell your side of the story.
3. You will be defended when you have been wronged.
4. You will face consequences when you violate conduct rules.
